NCP, the UK’s largest private parking operator, has acquired the UK operations of Secure Parking and has integrated Empark’s UK business, both to support its aim of accelerating growth and reinforcing our portfolio in health, rail and airport sectors. Terms of the acquisitions have not been disclosed.

NCP has acquired Secure Parking’s UK operations (which trade as S & K Car Park Management Ltd and iPark Europe Ltd) and will integrate them into its existing team. The ultimate parent company of Secure Parking’s UK operation is Park24 Co., Ltd., which, in turn is a majority shareholder of NCP through a separate UK holding company.

Secure Parking has a team of over 150 in the UK which will join NCP following its acquisition.

In the UK, Secure Parking is a nationwide operator with a portfolio of 12 sites and in the region of 15,700 spaces. It launched in the UK in October 2010 and has expanded since through a combination of management and leasehold agreements. Key accounts include Bloomsbury Square Car Park, Westfield White City and Westfield Stratford. Park24 acquired the Secure Parking’s UK operation in 2017, along with operations in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.

The Empark deal will see NCP take over Empark’s UK parking operations across eight contracts nationwide, including those at Gatwick Airport, Croydon University Hospital NHS Trust and the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

The current Empark operations team will join NCP to ensure the continued smooth running of the existing sites. The acquisition will also mean that NCP adds to its portfolio of health, rail and airport facilities.

Jonathan Scott, Chief Executive at NCP, said: “These are two strong businesses in their own markets and their teams will bring additional specialist skills to NCP enabling us to broaden our offer to partners and clients.”

“Acquiring the Secure Parking operations in the UK will add further to our technology platforms and will also add experience in retail and leisure parking to our portfolio. At the same time, the team at Empark have exceptional strength in rail, health and airport parking management, enhancing NCP’s offer in this space.”

“NCP is committed to rapid expansion in the UK, targeting 300 additional locations in the coming three years. Bringing in the teams from Empark UK and Secure Parking UK will add to our existing expertise and will also give our new colleagues a bigger platform to grow from with us.”
